Global Li-Ion is an interesting speculative play on graphite, which will be in increasing demand for the growing lithium – ion Battery industry. The company has the advantage of a property / project, the Chedic Mine, that is located in Nevada close to the new Tesla giga factory, which is set to become a major battery manufacturer, and other plants are expected to be established in the area.

The company has just closed a significant financing, so there is no threat of a funding exercise for the foreseeable future.

On the latest 3-month chart we can that the stock price advanced after it came to market in July, then stalled out this month probably due to the overhang of the now completed financing. The sideways pattern looks like a consolidation, especially as graphite plays are coming back into favor with investors. Since it has dropped back close to the bottom of the range in recent days it looks attractive here, especially as risk can be limited by dumping it if drops below C$0.37 – it can be bought back later if it breaks back above C$0.39. This is a speculative play that only trades on the Canadian Stock Exchange (and Frankfurt).
